Cost Plans
Client Benefit: This process develops the Order of Cost to a new level of detail, thereby providing more cost certainty to the Client.
Scope of Service: A Cost Plan is the expansion of the Order of Cost. Once outline drawings have been prepared showing a scheme proposal Roach Hunt Partnership will prepare a more detailed Cost Plan, breaking the scheme down into individual building work parts/sections to develop the overall cost in more detail.
Outline specifications allowed for in the Cost Plan would set monetary allowances within which the Client and Design Team can determine specifications and design. The design can then be monitored during design development and any changes in costs advised to the Client as the scheme develops.
The Cost Plan would become a management tool for the Client via the Quantity Surveyor to control costs, especially for schemes that involve detailed Architects and Engineers drawn proposals.
